la pocatiere,
is it a good idea to run the car, and then stop the fuel pomp with dsmlink so it will idle and stop by itself and there will be no gas in the fuel systemp so i'll be able to put my afpr and change my injector without problem, is it good???

^^ That is correct.

To empty the fuel system, I unplug the fuel pump and crank the car a few times.

Unpluging the fuel pump & running the car till it dies is not a bad idea/probably a good idea but I've never done so (& have had the fuel system apart multiple times). I always have just let the car sit for several hours or over night etc. Then just slowly losen the part I'm dealing with, with a rag & small dish in hand. Personally never had any issues doing it this way but running the car dry will only help the situation.
