well guys and gals i just got my fuel system plumbed on my stock 1991 talon, car sat for 2-years and stock fuel lines rusted out, i replaced the fuel filter and put a pump from a 2006 sti, which flows 160lph. car starts and idles for a second then starts to break up and you have to pump the gas to keep it running, or it will die. once the rpms are over 2,000rpm's the car doesnt break up or misfire. when driving down the road it drives fine cant get much into boost bc i don't have a wastegate but what little i give it, it runs fine except for when i release the throttle it falls on it's face then an instant jar when you get back on the throttle.

car has open o2 for now and FIAV blocked off. new ISC motor, i have swapped MAFS and the problem is still there, although when i unplug it, it throws a CEL and then it will idle. new plug wires, with NGK plugs BPR7ES gaped at .30, when i pull the plugs they are soaked in either gas or oil, except for the very tip, which looks fine, ill wipe them off re-install them and it will idle at about 1200rpm's for about a minute then it starts to break-up and they are soaked again. I,ve replaced the FPR, and checked that i have fuel pressure aswell.

Im thinking it migt be the ecu, although the caps look fine and the board has no obvious burn marks. but im stumpped at what could casue this???

car also has 170 across the board on compression, and i have done a boost leak test with no leaks.

What do you mean by open 02?

im not running a downpipe right now its got a 2g o2 housing and i haven't received my 3" downpipe yet, my stock one was to rusted to reuse

I replaced the fuel lines with SBR's complete -6an tank to filter stainless hose kit, checked the igniter and the coil. could it be the bpr7es plugs? cause they are soaked in either fuel or oil every time i check them?

car wont idle unless i pump the gas if i just press the gas down it will die, i have to pump it.

just picked up a set of BPR6ES plugs going to install them when it cools off outside

well i installed the plugs and when i removed the old ones they were not covered in fuel if anything a little lean at idle, the new plugs didnt help anything
