is it worth it to port out the T-25?

I was wondering if anyone w/ a 2g has ported out the exhaust side of the T-25. I want to know if there was any noticeable difference in power or psi. I know that the 14b, which is a stronger turbo than the t-25, if that is ported it could produce higher psi and stay strong over higher RPM's. I was just wondering cause i wanted to do some things to the parts that i have now and not spend money on a new turbo yet. I know that a new turbo will be needed in the near future, but i was just wondering about this right now. Oh, and i have pretty much the normal supp mods except for the fuel mods (intake, exhst, bov, ex.) Thanks

I have taken the turbo off when i ported out my o2 housing. I was going to port out the exhst mani anyway cause the new turbo will require a 7cm opening. I guess i will do it, cause i really have nothing else to do right now. How was the power up to the redline when it was ported?

How much better did you do in the 1/4mi. What kind of times were you pulling w/out it ported?

it wont make it 'produce more boost' thats regulated by the wastegate... if you were running the car at maximum possible with no wastegate actuation at all, you could make more...

doing this will allow you to spool better but you could risk spoiling lower or giving it bad flow charactoristics.

For free it's not that bad if your looking for something to do. Unfortunatly I never made it to track after it was ported but yes it spools faster. Before porting I could bark the tires when shifting hard to 2nd after it would bark the tires when I was rolling in 2nd. That's not down shifting either. That's putting it in 2nd at about 10mph then stomp the pedal and when the turbo spooled it would bark the tires. It's not very good but that's about the only comparison I can give. All it really amounts to is the turbo spools faster and yes I did notice it pulled a little harder. I also ported the the side that bolts to the o2 housing. All I did there was make it match the evo o2 I had. I also ported my mani and cleaned out the intercooler at the same time. I kind of made this a little confusing but this what all I did at the same time port turbo, port mani, and clean the intercooler. If your bored and looking for free mods go for it.
