ok everyone i need some help!
-- even tho the factory boost gauge is total shiznit, it's reading roughly 11 - 12 lbs of boost at full throttle (again i know that it's not very reliable).
-- with the mods i have listed below, what's the highest boost i can get out of a stock 14b and what do i need to get there?
-- my goal is to run about 16 - 17 lbs without much work or $$$.

MODS: removed air can, K&N filter, hacked mas, bored out boost solenoid, polished throttle body elbow, soon to be ported 2G manny and o2 housing, 2.5" dp and highflow cat, custom bent 10g 3" cat back, magnaflow exhaust 3" in 4" out, 8mm wires, Bosch +2 plugs.

Manual Boost Controller? You can get one for about $50, especially if you're willing to go used. With an MBC, you should be able to run 16 lbs with your setup w/o problems. But you really need a mechanical boost gauge first.

sounds like you got the bpu's there... except for the fuel stuff. With those mods, a 190 would help. But i would get the Boost gauge from like VDO for 20 bucks first Before anything. I picked up a bleeder valve MBC for 45 dollars, wokrs jsut fine lets me build boost if i nail it in nuetral and then i can hear the BOV open after i let off. i cant hear much of anything right now, my motor is gone, but hey i am getting close to putting the new one back in here

get a ball and spring over a bleeder valve...you can build one for like $10 and your spool will be he!!a lot better.
