Difference of an internal and external wastegate. Difference? I dont want to do an atmospheric O2, so will that have an affect on either? I want to run an FP Green, so which would be recommended? Thanks again.

Ive noticed FP sells the Green with an internal AND external gate. I also noticed that an internal gate is more expensive, why is that? What would you guys recommend? Thanks for the images Mike.

from what i know the internal is going to be more expensive because the external option gives you no wastegate at all,you have to provide the external. the internal gates are more prone to boost creep, whereas running an external virtually eliminates boost creep.

Ok, gotcha. So will running an external gate require an open O2 dump? If not, does it make any difference sound wise? Remember, I DO NOT want to run open O2 if I dont have to. Thanks for the answers guys, its much appreciated.

You can run an external gate but have have the wastegate gasses go back into the exhaust instead of an dump.

Ok cool. One more question

What size/type/make of extrenal gate should I get for use on an FP Green? I was thinking either an HKS or Tial 40mm? What would you guys recommend?

40mm is fine. I'm not a big expert on external gates but you may be able to use a 35mm.
