Ok, as you probley know by now, I have a 1993 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. I finally got the car running like I like it. It runs nice and steady. Power is good, pull is good, etc. I am seriously considering pulling the engine though next winter. You know, full clean up and rebuild. I hope to see a few new performance parts inside, but it depends on the $$ really. I did a compression test awhile back but I cant remember what it was. The engine was still cold (didn't help much and probley need to do it again) so it doesn't really matter right now.

The main fact is, do I really want to pull the engine to rebuild it? It DOES run good but I kind of want an engine that I will always know what has been run through it. Will there be any advantage to pulling the engine besides the obvious upgraded parts?

What do you think? Thanks:thumb:

Also, oil pressure seems a bit low on the POS stock gauge. Vac is at about 16psi or so idle. No leaks as far as what I found, but I still have the stock intercooler piping so that could make a difference on vac possibly.

You kinda answered your own question there abou tknowing what you will have like a reman or even a good core with new/beef parts to build in it. Plus if something would to happen there is always a warrenty you could pick up on...

Ok thanks. Yeah I would be rebuilding it myself also. No warrenty on that! LOL:thumb:

You have listed no real reasons that it really needs a rebuild.

if it ain't broke, leave it alone.

Yeah, your right. I don't know what to do. Thanks for the reply. But its so hard trying not to fix something that doesn't need to be fixed! The other day I just took out the nylon tube from my autometer boost gauge and replaced it with copper because I didn't want the nylon to leak!!! LOL it worked fine too! thanks again
