Here's the scoop and thanks to all who take the time to read all of this!

I bought a 1Gb Automatic TSi, she runs like crap. Appears to be bone stock minus the K&N air filter. Poor gas mileage and the more gas I give her, the slower she feels. It's almost as if it's flooding the engine or pulling timing when I floor it. Once she reaches ~4k RPMs she spudders and slowly climbs in RPMs, finally the tranny shifts thank God.
Misfire? o2 sensor? Could they have installed an after market fuel pump and if so wouldn't that overrun the stock FPR?

A few things that I've noticed.

a.) oil leaks, not the rear main, turbo oil drain, or oil filter housing.
b.) oil pressure is SUPER low according to the interior gauge.
c.) e-brake light is constantly illuminated (e-brake is functional)
d.) Anti-lock light illuminates occasionally
e.) Fuel injector wires and some generic cap for injector on Cyl #3.
(apparently some shop thought the OEM stuff went bad so they wired in a generic
top for the injector and ran 2 new wires, it doesn't look "shotty" by any means. The shop
is reputable and I do have a receipt for the work)
d.) tranny isn't shifting on queue, if I let off the gas she's more likely to get into gear but
more often then not, from a dead stop I'm leaving in what feels like 3rd. To overcome
the horrid acceleration, I put her in low and climb to drive which seems to work well enough for now.

I've been under the impression that the tranny will follow the performance of the motor so
rather than spend time and money to look at shifting problems, I figured something has
got to be wrong with this car as performance is not where it needs to be.

I welcome any suggestions and will be looking into this further this evening.
Boost leak test FTW?
:beatentodeath:

Thanks guys!

You know I love you guys right?

LOL

That part about some dude installing the wally fuel pump? Can you believe it?!
I checked it out and sure enough... zip-tied insulated non golden fuel pump FTW.
4 DSM's at home comes in handy when you need a stock part...

I replaced the wally for the stock fuel pump and GREAT SUCCESS!!!
She drives like a dream.

I guess I don't mind checking out the oil leak now and minor issues as she is no longer driving like a hooptie pos. No one even viewed this thread but it's all good. Always check for aftermarket upgrades to your new used "stock" DSM. Whether it's the o ring removed from the BCS or hacked into ECU for the SAFC. 9 times out of 10 our cars have been raced before but who can blame the previous owner!!!

Yea that oil pressure is a problem, even for a stock gauge. How many miles are on the car? Id wait till you absolutely have to, and do a balance shaft eliminator. Or use thicker oil for now. Id run straight 50. Good luck man!
