Alright, I'm sure you have all heard this before.
Anyone out there with a DIS2 on a 90?
Just installed one and now the factory tach doesn't work(tried the tach adaptor, still doesn't work).

Did you use the MSD part #8912? Double check to make sure it was wired correctly. Good luck. Let us know what you find.

That was the part used, and I'm positive that everything was wired correctly. Any thoughts??? Bad tach adaptor maybe???
The car starts and runs fine.

Well, possibly a bad adapter but I doubt that. I am looking at the manual for the DIS2 right now and they show on page 15 using 2 of the 8912 adapters even though on page 14 they say you will only need 1????? You may want to call MSD on Monday and ask about this.
I am not sure if this will work for you or not, but this is how I wired up my DIS box and it works fine but my combo is completly different than yours but still may work. I am using the tach output of the DIS box and driving the factory tach off of that. I found the factory tach wire down by the fuse box at the left kick panel. There are 4 plugs down there that are for the dash panel harness only. There is 1 white plug that plugs into the fuse box, 1 smaller black pug on top of the fuse box and 2 white plugs on the right side of the fuse box. In 1 of the 2 white plugs on the side of the fuse box there is a white wire. This was the wire for the tach. You will need the shop manual or a very good wiring manual to get the exact plug and pin, but this was in the same spot on the same plug for both of my 90 and 91 Talons. I simply cut this wire and wired into the end going to the dash. I am sure this way will work for you as well, but like I said my combo is completly different than yours and I can not be held liable for anything that may happen. Please check this for yourself before cutting and trying. Good luck.
