Ok I already looked at a lot of threads about this and researched a bit but I still found my self wanting some answers…

It seems my turbo might be crapping out and I want to get the best bang for the buck and the last thing I want is the turbo failing after a month because of a bad hybrid job. So I'm leaning towards the agp t28 cause it is brand new and requires nothing. Is the killer much different other than it being a 3-piece hybrid? I have seen the comparisons on tubochargers.com and they look different but is the performance worth the possible sketchiness? Then there is the Big 16G this I have heard lots of good things about except that it requires a kit to put em on 2Gs. But there is a deal for a 16G with 2G-install kit for $699? Says so on the home page, but again, I assume this is not a brand new 16G.

Also if all else fails, is it possible to get just the turbine housing for a t25? Just a new stock one cause mine might be cracked. Thanks.

If all else fails you can pick up a used low mileage T25 on dsmtrader for 100-200 bucks at most.
As far as teh 16g/install deal for $699, yes that is a brand new turbo. However Im not sure if its a small or big16g.
Im kind of in the same boat as you, I want the T28 killer but I dotn like the idea that its a hybrid. So then I wanted the AGPt28, and now I read a thread about that guy that has the big28 then swapped it for a 16g and the 16g is better. i think Ill end up with a T28 anyway for ease of installation and because I just replace my oil feed line anyway.

I was thinking of going to the big16g also, then I said for just 150 more I could get the 20g. Since I have front wheel drive I thought that the additional lag would be acceptable. But then I said what the heck and started looking at the frank series turbos. I think I got a deal on one working now and its about the same as what the big16g was going to cost new. The only dilema is that now I feel obligated to get the 660cc injectors, S-AFC for tuning, walbro fuel pump, and possibly a FMIC. I figure if I do just go all out now I will be set for a while. Probably gonna take ahwile just to get the setup properly tuned. I also wanna go with the 20g series because I want that good top end power that the stock turbo seems to be lacking. Just a thought, or two.

well that deal looks a little more apitizing now, the turbochargers.com website dosent mention the deal... woul di have to email them? is it just for us members? THanks though.

I definately wouldn't go by what that "1" dude said about the Big28 to 16g swap. Look at the times list over at DSTALK.com in the racing forums for upgraded turbos and you can see that the Big28 is starting to show it's potential. Brian a.k.a. ProjectGSX use to have the 16g killer and swapped to the Big28 and said the Big28 was much better. He talked about it in his review of the Big28 over at DSMTALK.com. So go figure. Remember the Big28 has only been out for about a year now as compared to a 16g. So people are just now starting to get the Big28 dialed in. There's another guy over at DSMTALK.com that goes by Hor, he has run 12.4's along with 109 traps in his awd with a supra side mount. I know your looking at the AGP T-28, but I look at the AGP T-28 and FP Big28 as the same, or equal. I have had my FP ported Big28 for about a year now and love it. I think it's a great turbo for the street. Although I would love to have a FP green LOL. Good luck!!

Yes it is a brand new Small16g & 2G install
kit for that price. I think David just put that on the web sight. Not sure why people think the 2G install kit is so hard to install. It is very simple & straight forward. IMO.(Just don't gorilla torque the banjo bolt that goes to the head & break it off inside the head like my dumbarse did on my first install....:D)

I think I will now end up going the big 16g route in the future because I am gettin a complete 6 bolt engine this month that includes the 14b/water coolant lines/j pipe etc. So I will have that on my car. Im not going to use the block tho, Just the 1g head. I am keeping the block around tho just incase the 7 bolt takes a walkOMG

Hey Turbo... thats awsome... i think you just made up my mind. How long will this deal run.

Also I will be using this turbo to repace a posibley broken stocker... so will i beable to use it with my current mods at low boost untill i get the suportign mods?
