I have a boost leak at the throttle body shaft. When I pressure test my system I get a leak from there. When I pull on the thing that the thing that opens and closes the throttle body (I don't know what it is called) the leak will stop. this is when I pull it towards the front of the car, when I push towards the back of the car the leak gets louder. Is there some types of seals in there that I can replace?

Yes, there's an o-ring on each side of the shaft. You can use #7 o-ring (1/2x3/8x1/16, STK NO 35724B) made by Danco Company (available at any hardware store) as replacement. ;)

You don't want to use orings. I can get the seals that are better than the factory seals for the shaft. The part # for the seals is in the vfaq. If any of you guys can not find them contact me and I will get them for you. The cost is about $12 for both seals.

They reliably hold 30psi with no leaks - after 2 years of use (pressure tested 2 weeks ago) and cost around $0.40 a piece. More expensive doesn't always mean better.

Agreed, I've been running replacment o-rings in my 1g throttle body for a year now and no leaks.

A o ring is not really made to seal a moving shaft. But if it works for you guys then use it. I will stick with the seals.

I just took apart the throttle body to replace the seals. I just found out that the 1g has different size seals in the throttle body. I looked at www.plymouthlaser.com. for info. See the attached picture of what I am looking for. If anyone can help that would be great.
