profec-B balance setting

sorry, i got this 2nd hand for 100$, so i odnt have instruction manual. i still have an idea on what im doing except for the balance setting. i know it says its for the waste gate and all that, but what exactly does it control, and what should i have it set at. mind you im stock, i just have a filter. i was gonna bosst at 15psi, unless anyone says otherwise, thanks

By the way you wont be able to hold 15 psi with your stock 2g BOV, the EBC is good to have but you'll need a bit more to make it useful.

I had a profec-b on my last car and what I remember it does from memory is changes how the boost comes on by controlling the wastegate from smooth to sharp. Have a look at the balance nob and look around the dial for smooth and sharp. If that is what it says, on sharp it holds the wastegate closed right until the point of maxium boost before it opens it as opposed to smooth that opens it a little as boost builds to maxium.

I really coulnd't tell the difference on my old car as it just has a T3 on a 1.8L GTi engine.
