1G swap or not?

Just want to hear some pro's and con's of doing a 6 bolt swap. I was going to go full out on my 2nd gen motor but am now having second thoughts. I also have a couple of questions. If I do do a 6 bolt swap can I still use the 2nd gen parts that are already on my motor. example exhaust, downpipe etc?? Can I still use dsmlink with a 6 bolt swap? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Heres how i see it, if your goin to go all out like i am, you would save money by doing a 1g swap. First off u get the larger intake manifold, and TB also better head and turbo. Now if u go with a EVO 3 motor your getting an even better deal. Plus u dont have to worry about crankwalk. If u added up the cost of just swapping out the head, intake mani, and TB it would come out to about the same price as a 1g or evo3 motor(- install). So really your saving money by puttin the whole motor in reather than swap out parts here and there.
Thats just my opinion.....

it would make more sense to go all out 1g now ahead of time.. everything else should work fine for you though as far as im aware..
