16g turbocharger with a 2.00? aluminum elbow welded to the discharge end of the turbo. This turbo have approximately 500 miles on it and was used in the development of a prototype twin turbo system. The turbos were run at low boost (6 psi) and were always run on a diet of Royal Purple synthetic oil. The flapper valve assembly has been removed so these units will need to be used in conjunction with an external wastegate (we do have a discharge elbow available for use on a 1G DSM that incorporates an external wastegate available separately to the winning bidder). The swing valve shaft hole has been welded shut to prevent leaks.

That is what the guy is selling. Is it worth it for $375.00??? What else is needed to run it? Let me know, because he wants to sell, and I want to buy! but I am not sure if it is a better or WORSE turbo because of the modifications done to it.

IMO no its not worth it.. its 375 and requires the use of an external wastegate.. a 16G is a small enough turbo that you really dont need or should not need to use an external gate which can be rather costly.. you can get a brand new 16G turbo that would bolt right up to the 1st gen easily for only 600 bucks from turbochargers.com
