:dsm: SUP TO ALL THE DSM TUNERS , IM IN A SITUATION I JUST DECIDED TO RESURECT MY ECLIPSE FROM THE DEAD FOR THE SECOND TIME BUT THIS TIME IM COMING HARDER THAN EVER BUT IM A LIL IMPATIENT THO I JUST GOT A GARRET T-04 HYBRED TURBO AND I GOT SICK OF JUST LOOKING AT IT SO I SLAPPED IT ON NOW HERE IS THE QUSTION I KNOW IM NOT GOINGTO GET MUCH OUT OF IT BUT IF I RAN THAT TURBO WITH THE STOCK SET UP AT STOCK BOOST WHAT WOULD THE RISKS BE ... ? AND IN ADDITION I HAVE 550CC INJECTORS(NOT INSTALLED YET) WHAT WOULD I NEED TO GET THE BEST PERFORMANCE OUT OF THEM OH AND MONEY IS AN OBJECT SO KEEP IT AS GENTLE TO THE POCKET AS POSSIBLE :thumb:

First of all wrong forum.
Secondly, CAPSLOCK IS RUDE!
Thirdly(is that a word?), I personally wouldn't put a T04 on your car till you had more stuff. But pick up a used AFC and gauges and datalogger. That is the minimum for safe tuning.

My appologies 1st time on here ... ok im not a newbie but i maybe i didnt give enuff info i was runing a 16g set up my head is ported and polished a k&n filter all usless vacumes have been removed egr sensor has been removed and sealed now im not trying to daily drive or race the car with the turbo i just have to drive it from my parents house to mine but i dont wanna kill anything in the process ... and about the afc you are speaking of the apex-i s-afc ? cause thats what i was planing but i didnt know if it being a piggy back system how good it actually works ...

ok you know what this is getting no were thanx for your time and im sorry that my question wasnt technical enuff to be in this forum being its the 1st time im on here and no one can quite point me in the right direction as of in what forum should i post this in or any answers for what was initially asked :thumb:

happy honda hunting

You just "slapped" on a Garret turbo to your stock manifold? Riiiiight.

Anyways, it's a huge turbo. And you said you're still "stock" for everything else?....that's just asking for trouble.

Best bet, sell the turbo to some Honda kids...get a REAL turbo that'll work with our cars and get better supporting mods like exhaust/DP/AFC/FMIC and throw in a good clutch.

Stick around and READ READ READ. You'll learn alot more, and earn a little more respect. Trust me on this... :thumb:

thanx for the support gsx rcr but i wasnt detail enuff this is going to be my lil project car its not my daily driver and i have many performance parts in stock but but its too much of a pain for me to drive a half hour every time i want to work on my car check my profile see the toys i have so far . all i really want to know is if i baby the car for about a 30min drive as is would it be worth it or should i just trailer it over ...and about the turbo its a hybrid and it came of a gsx that it was made for if i remember right it has a t-25 rear side but dont quote me on that ...:dsm:

Just drive it and stay off boost. As long as your not turning insane amounts of boost who cares, just drive it. It's not that far...just dont race anyone......

just drive the thing home. don't boost at all if possible. shift at 2k. NO RACING, NO GOING FAST!!!

Ok, lets get something straight, take ANY turbo you want, I dont get if its a 16g, green, 20g, straight t4, T1000....and at stock boost you can run it and beat on your car as much as you want, period. Your car can't take in any more additional compressor flow, the colder air helps, and the freer exhaust side is nice.

thats what i figured thanks for the info and and i wont be doing any racing or speeding i learned my lesson with that i had a 16g set up before and i was racing a vett and i started pulling on it but for only one reason one of my vacum hoses came lose and i was runing open boost with out knowing and i blew the head gasket overhreated the engine and warped a freshly ported and polished head  ill just keep that moment in mind on my drive home ...
