2nd gen brakes on 1st gen

ok i read the vfaq and still neeed to know if the 2nd gen brakes (rotors,calipers) are a direct bolt on or if it is a big pain i need as much info as i can get

Get the 2 piston calipers, rotors and lines, and it bolts up.

The 'big brake' upgrade is relatively straightforward. If you've never worked with brakes before, it can be a bit unpleasant (brake fluid is icky, and some of the bolts may be pretty tight). If you've read the VFAQ carefully and there's nothing there that scares you, you should be fine.

I'd recommend buying a kit from a vendor unless you're confident you know exactly which parts you will need, and can trust your alternate source.
