I've done research and haven't found a definate answer as to how this exhaust sounds. I've heard that it's either unbearably loud or it's barely louder than stock. Why is this? I'm sure that a downpipe with removed cat can't cant make it that much louder than just the cat-back system.
I found a good deal on one and just want some opinions. I can't seem to get a majority answer as to whether it is quiet or loud compared to other 3 inch exhausts. I would have a 2.75 inch DP with no cat to bolt to it. Any opinions? Or even better - Any wav files or mpegs I could hear it in?

taking the cat off does make a big difference in the sound level. you don't have the 'bricks' to block a lot of the sound. you can also hear the little backfires that you never knew your car made.

I put on a Dunk catback with a stock downpipe and cat....it wasn't really much louder than stock. Then I added an Apexi N1 downpipe(that eliminates the cat) and now it is loud as all hell! It sounds good though, not all high pitched and whiney.
