Need help on wether or not i shud buy this car

Hey, im not sure if i shud buy this car.its a 90tsi with blown headgasket and now compression in cylinder 2.not sure yet how many miles but the price is 500 and j/w if it wud be a god deal jus to buy a new head or get it fixed.so if u have any advice for me or ne estimates on how much it wil cost jus hit me up.

You could buy it for 500, and rebuild the motor for 2500-3500 depending on the parts you buy... (doing it yourself)

If your a good mechanic.. then go for it.. if not... it'll be too expensive.

replacing the head gasket isn't a terrible hard job, but you'd probably want somebody who has done one before (preferably on a DSM), especially for the timing belt work.
a new head gasket isn't expensive, but the low compression could be a bit of work. if the gasket is broken on #2 cylinder that could be both the problems taken care of. if bad rings cause the low compression you could also put new rings in while the head is off. if bad valves are causing it you could redo the head while it's off, or even throw a dsmtrader head on while you're at it. you can snag one for probably $200-300.
personally 2500-3500 sounds a bit high for doing it yourself, especially if you use stock parts. it's certainly possible to spend that much on engine work, but if you're interested in getting it on the road and not building a 400 HP monster you could get by with a lot less dinero.

No I dont think you should buy it. In fact I want you to give me this guy's numbers so I can give him a piece of my mind . Seriously though if it is awd I would buy that in a heartbeat.
