My compression is not the greatest, the leakage test pretty much comes down to valves (probly seals).
I did a wet and dry test to check the rings and it only showed a couple % difference, so my bottom end is fine correct?

So Since I do not plan to build and all-out dragcar, I was pondered the idea of putting the 1g head, throttle body, intake manny, and 14b turbo on my car.

And then I could sell the 6 bolt block off to someone on here if they need it, IF my 7 bolt bottom end is good.

How much HP/PSI can a stock 2g 7 bolt bottom end handle? The only weakness would be the rods right? But I am not even considering tearing down a 7 bolt bottom end, thats just begging for crankwalk.

And when I have the 1g head all off I am going to rebuild it, what all should I do to it, cost effectively. I dont have much cash to invest into it. I plan to port the intake and exhaust manny while I have them off. I will stick with the 2g exhaust manny of course.

Thansk for any help with this:thumb:

I think you should drop that 6-bolt in your car :)
You can just port and polish the head, and you'll be set.

Only problem with dropping it into your car, is you had to buy all the other parts associated with the swap :(

I myself use to run 20 psi on pump gas (with up graded pump) On race gas I ran all the way up to 26 psi on the stock bottom end. I do not recomend this to any one. It was tuned very well and I had no hicups in the system. It was only done for races and was tuned on the Dyno under full load. We tuned it a little on the richer side to avoid deadly knock. I pulled the motor out of the car about 4 months later and it was in great shape. I rebuild it with crower rods and JE pistons and it crankwlked in 57 miles, yes 57! So I bought a 6 bolt from Marco at Magnus and I have never looked back. So I would keep the 6 bolt and put it in the car.

Exactly, I dotn wanna buy all those parts and do the grinding/filling on the block. If my stock 7 bolt bottom end is good I want to keep it.
I only plan to run a T28 turbo so the stock 7 bolt bottom end should be able to handle that right? Probly run 18psi daily, and maybe 22psi at the track on race gas. Sound reasonable?

Sounds good. It should handle it. You should hang unto the 6-bolt just in case something bad may happen though.

yeah, ive though about that too, that way if I blow my pistons or rings....or crankwalk comes around I have a spare 6 bolt block waiting for 2g pistons and to be slapped in.

These are the variance in leakage % between dry and oiled.
The engine was somewhat cold when I did this tho.

Cylinder 1 - 6% variance
Cylinder 2 - 8%
Cylinder 3 - 4.5%
Cylinder 4 - 4%

how does this look? Is my bottom end ok?

Thats fine, its only a few psi. Stock rings have a nice amount of blowby anyhow. I think on my last check I gained about 5psi across the board after a wet compression test. Not very significant and pretty normal I think

Ok, thanks for the help:thumb:

I will do the 1g head/intake manny/throttle body swap then. And just keep my 6 bolt block laying around just incase.

The 6 bolt is coming out of a 90, does that mean the throttle body wont work? I need a 91-94 throttle body right? What year is best?

They are a pain to get to work as if the 91+ 's werent a pain in the first place. Any will do they are all the same from 91-94 make sure it has the ports on the top of the TB
