Ok, so here is the question that I can't seem to get an answer too. I am rebuilding my motor with new pistons and rods and am looking to make right around 350whp maybe 400 max before I stop. I'm not going crazy. Are Eagle rods decent for that kind of power? If not what should I go with?

Eagle have the same tensiel stregth as Crower but there H design not I, and the alloy is the same as well, Eagle weigh 1.28lbs Crower 1.33lbs should hold the same power if you can tune (700hpish) Good Luck

The Eagles are good for ~600 hp and the Crowers for ~700. I have Eagles and crank out about the same power you are talking about (until I get my bigger turbo). You won't have a problem with the Eagles. You can get them cheap on E-bay.

Agree. :thumb:

Last time I looked, the stock rods are good for 400hp. Just in case you were worried about the stock rods....

If all you want is 350 to mabey 400, use 91 rods, they're cheaper and plus there's tons of people out there that have over 400 hp and still using the 91 rods. I just went for a ride in a buddies car that has them in his car along with 95 pistons and his car also has a 16g killer, and wow does it hall ass.

I have Eagle rods which replaced the 90 rods that I had before. They would not have even been replaced had it not been for over heating issues. I went with the Eagles over the Crower mainly due to the price break. 600 horsepower is nice breathing room to have also.
