I just got this o2 housing and started to port it tonight. I removed the step on the dp side. Is that how its suppose to look? Or should it be bigger. I really didnt make it any larger cause i dont have the other gasket yet to scribe it.

How deep should i go cause the o2 sensor is right there. Should it be wider than is. Anyone know what gasket to use to match it to the DP?

what size is your downpipe? you want a nice near seamless transition for the air to follow...nothing is worse for flow than a sharp 90deg. angle.

I have the Apexi N1 DP and i think its about 2.5 at the start of it. Should i just take off the DP and gasket match them both?

seems logical to me, but that is an area I haven't experimented in yet. that would theoretically give you the best flow.
make sure the gasket is really as big in diameter as the start of the dp. also if the dp has the step in it, you could remove that as well and maybe go to a larger gasket...remember smoother=better.

Yeah, this is the first for me, so im just going to take my time on it. I bought a 2nd o2 housing that im porting out, so if things dont go the way i planned, ill just replace it. I just cant find the gasket to put on it though. Every place i call doesnt have any ford gaskets or they tell me to check the dealer or somthin.

you could always get some high-temp liquid gasket maker and forget about having to match them up. I dunno about finding the ford gasket...here in the midwest, we should have those everywhere shouldn't we? =)

Go to any parts store or muffler shop & ask for an exhaust gasket for a 80s ford mustang or pick up. Just make sure that it measures 2.5" on the inside. The the bolt holes will have to be "ported" but this isn't a big deal.

U mean where both the tubes that come off the turbo meet ( right before the DP). How should i port that? Do i want to port the little wastegate side or the bigger side?

Heres a pics, if it helps.

Wont that interfere with the turbo outlet pipe if you port it larger? Or should i get rid of that little lip altogether.

Did you have an example of how big? So your saying that i should just grind down that lip between the two holes completely off, right?

Yeah, i already checked that out and it doesnt even say anything about porting the wastegate pipe, only has stuff on the outlet to the DP and the side that goes against the turbo. Im done porting out the outlet pipe to 2.5 inches.
