I just picked up a vr4 fuel pump and it is just the pump alone and I wanted to know if I'll need to pick up an installation kit for it. I saw a walbro installation kit on extremepsi but wasn't sure if I could use it for my vr4 pump or not. Any help would be appreciated.

As long as it is a denso pump it should bolt right in without much effort.

Ok, that's what I was hoping. One thing I wasn't sure though was that if I could re-use the sock that was allready on my old filter.

Considering the fact that your car is 15 years old, I would go ahead and replace the strainer on the fuel pump. When I put a used 3KGT VR4 pump in my car, I used a new
3KGT VR4 strainer. I think I could have made the stock one fit, but decided to just throw a new one on their instead.

Where did you get yours, dealer? I'm not sure i've ever seen them online seperately and everything is always so expensive with the dealer.
