I will be using the DNP tubular SS manifold with a 44mm Tial WG. This will hang the T04B V-Trim turbo which is mated to an EVO o2 housing. Will I be able to keep my o2 housing with this setup? I will need a dump tube for the WG, any ideas? (I've searched)

The WG uses a V-band and I noticed someone selling a custom dump tube from FP on the classifieds? I did not see the tube on FP's web site.
I'm scratching my head trying to picture this whole mess fitting together.

I'd like an idea as to what I'm in for. Bolt-on... yeah. :dsm:

Here's some pics of mine to give you an idea. I had the dump tube custom made.

Yeah a broke down monster. HAHA. Hey man, its keylan (topnotchtsi) from alabamaracingscene.net! I thought that car looked fimiliar from the pics, then i looked and seen where you were from and I was like, ohhhh yeah!!!!

Keylan

Haha you son of a bi***. A sinus infection has kept me from workin on it but it will be done very soon.

After looking at your setup for the past few days, I think I'd like to go with a similar if not exact dump tube setup. Would you happen to have a contact for the person or shop that fabricated the pipe? If not, possibly basic specs to pass off to a shop around here?

Thanks again! I'll have to post a picture when it's all said and done though.. I'm not "in" with the COP mod.. yet..

Broken down? Who isn't? From post count on the "who's DSM is broken down" majority rules! :thumb:

Some local guy did it for me. Nothing special to it just routing it where you have room for it to fit. I don't see there being a problem with someone doing it local to you. As long as it's a fabricator it should be fairly easy as long as you have clearance with everything. I have exhaust wrap on mine now and it's very close to the alternator but haven't had any problems.

How do I get the car from out of my garage to the shop without the pipe?
I'm wondering if your ride was already IN the shop that fabricated your pipe or if you just told the guy what you were looking for. If you just said "hey, I need this pipe" I'm wondering what info you gave him? As it stands my only hope is to show a fabricator the pictures of your ride and pray that he'll understand. Do you think the photos would be sufficient?

Does your turbo use an external wastegate? I'm running a 4 bolt T3 turbo and i have the same manifold with the 44 tial waste gate and it just dumps straight down and a little angle right by the oil pain close to the down pipe

You can drive it with out a pipe as along as the wastegate is mounted

I guess I'm worried for my alternator. It's already taken a beating haven driven it on 3 turbo bolts (exhaust killing the radiator and alternator) and without the heat shield(s). I suppose if I keep from boosting between my house and the shop it shouldn't be too bad? I'll give it a whirl and I probably would anyway no matter how concerned I get. Eventually looking at the new mods long enough just sitting there and I'll say "f" it and drive anyway. (did I tighten down the oil pickup tube bolts or...? forget it, let's go!)

Thank you for your reassurance, I was thinking about dumping upwards through the hood, like a mini smoke stack.... :sneaky: rice. yum yum.

Thank you guys, I'll post pictures on this thread tomorrow when she's put together.

Alright, test fit was a blast.
Because I use the dejon IC piping there is no
room for the exhaust pipe to fit between it and
the alternator. I'll have to go almost straight down
or I was thinking about going staight UP without the hood. :sneaky:

For the DNP manifold, one stud will need to be trimmed.
I was thinking that I appreciated my SS studs more then life itself.
:thumb:

I used studs purchased from Car Quest. I didn't want to mess around with bolts
and the studs shouldn't make life too difficult. I was shocked that the DNP manifold
that I paid out the *** for didn't come with a gasket or bolts. FFS man!
This is a shot of the SS housing BullsEye sent me to replace the steel "breaks bolts" one.

To fit the TiAL 44mm I had to slightly bend my oil dipstick tube.

I am using the same steel gasket I had with the EVO mani, though it looks off? :|

Last thing about the DNP, the outlet is incredibly smaller then the gasket
I'm using for the T04B V-Trim turbo.

I couldn't think of any reason NOT to turn the WG straight up just to get it to a shop... (hood off) then again, if I put a hole in the hood and used a mini smoke stack, it might help to defrost the windshield....

So, the DNP exhaust manifold flanged for TiAL 44mm... install.. it was a hoot.
What a PAIN! You have to shorten up 2 exhaust manifold studs (not just one)
or else the tubes will butt up against them and the mani will not sit flush against
the head.

In this picture I killed one of the lock washers
and other then that using studs in the turbo it works pretty good.
Now it's a gold-ish color.

For those of you who are new to the external gate setup, you will need to either
close up the upper port on your turbo OR use a block-off o2 housing or o2 housing
eliminator downpipe. I suppose that bit of knowledge is a duh factor, unfortunately
I was dropped on my head as a small child. :coy:
