I work for a Hyundai Dealership and plan on using the 92 Sonata G4CP 2.0l timing belt kit on my car. Heres the break down.

Hyundai Part #'s

Timing belt # 24312-33160
Timing belt tension pulley # 24450-33020
Timing belt auto tentioner # 24410-33190
Timing belt idler pulley # 24810-38001
Ballance shaft belt #23356-33160
Ballance shaft tensioner # 23357-33120

At my cost it breaks down to $175.93 for the parts and 4.2 hours of labor through my service dept at $35 an hour. Making a total $326.43 + tax. Not bad for getting it done OEM style.

My only real question is about the tnesioner, Are their diffrenet Hydrolic timing belt tensioners for the 1g/2g? According to On Green Performance the 2g's have two diffrent tentioners bassed on production date. Through 6/95 & After 8/95. Currious if the 1g's tensioner will work on the 2g's

Well, I went down to the Mitsu dealer and got the correct auto tentioner for the my 96. I'm going to match it up with the one that I orderd through Hyundai. If its the same mounting style I'll return the $77 mitsu tentioner and keep my $42.50 Hyundai one. I'll probably walk across the street on Thrusday and match up the 92 Hyundai Sonata tensoner with its corisponding Mitsu part # for you guys. I never realised their are 3 diffrent auto tensioners for the 1g & 2 diffrent 2g tensioners all with diffrent part #'s...

thank you for checking out the different tensioners and do post up what you find :)
