I just installed a 2gmas in my 1g and now my stock boost gauge doesnt read the right amount of boost. When I had my 1g mas in, the stock boost gauge worked perfect, pound for pound on my autometer. Since I installed the 2gmas the stock boost gauge is off like -4 lbs, and wont read any higher than 12lbs. even when running 17 lbs of boost!
Im just wondering if this is normal ?
I soldered the wires according to vfaq.

Just like was posted in your other thread of the same name. The stock boost gauge is shite. I estimates boost based in incoming airflow and then the ecu put a # on it.

So do you have a aftermarket boost gauge? If so, why do you care if the stocker works. It's crap, and there's even options out there to get it turned into a knock gauge when you get a chip burned.

Don't worry about it man, nothing is wrong. Just make sure you have an aftermarket gauge.

And next time, wait till your computer loads fully before hitting the post button again. Patience is a virtue.

Good luck

Have you boost leak tested? If you have no leaks, then it's all in your head. Not to mention the dumbest thing i've ever heard.

Seriously, PUT NO STOCK in the stock gauge. It's complete BS. Do everything from your autometer gauge.

But make sure you check for leaks, that might be why it "feels" faster. But as for why 14 feels faster than 7. . . DUH! More boost?

When you are reading 14 or 7 on the stocker, what r u reading as your set psi on the autometer? If it's sticking solid on the autometer, then it's all in your head. The stock gauge has NOOOOO correlation to power. It's just a badly drawn estimate of boost.

Can a mod step in here and help me out? I feel like i'm not getting through.
