This is my new S/S O2 housing with a Tial 40mm external gate mounted. It was built by Victory Perfomance Equipment. I liked this design due to it's ease of installation. This is a great alternative to running an external gate with a dump tube to the atmosphere or trying to route it back into the down pipe or exhaust. The quality is top notch. Just wanted to share this with my fellow DSMer's. Should be on my car very soon, Still waiting for my turbo to come in.

yea i had one of those on my previous set up but i had a crummy deltagate on it before :(. pretty nice. but i prefer o2 housing mounted wastegates with external dump. nothing will top that sound in the whole world. currently having my friend design me a new o2 housing and downpipe that has a tial 40mm dumping into the atmosphere and a 3" o2 housing.

This is my new Garrett Ballistics Dual Ball Bearing turbo that I will be installing very soon (VERY VERY SOON) along with my new O2 housing w/Tial 40mm wastegate that were built by Victory Performance for me. Thought you might like to check it out. Can't wait to see how it performs :D.

how much $ have you spent on those things?

I could tell ya, but you don't really want to know

$2180.00

You really need to talk to Scott at VPE about the prices. It really depends on what you go with.

The Victory Performance O2 housings ALWAYS come out so damn purty. I'm curious about one thing. Who's hybrid is that? Last I checked, Garrett didn't make a turbine housing that was a direct bolt on to our cars.

$2180 for turbo/header/O2housing/gate? That's kinda pricey. You could put a full T4 Garrett setup on the car for that much. Hope your performance gains match the amt. you spent.

Victory Performance Equipment built the hybrid. If you compare a full Garrett Ballistic GT30 series t3/t4 turbo (starts at $1200.00) to a Garrett Ballistic GT30 series t3/t4 hybrid ($1400.00 complete with full porting), you will spend almost the same amount or more, depending on who is building it. Remember the Ballistic series turbos are dual ball bearing, so they cost alot more $$$. Since I already had the header it made more sense to go with the hybrid. As far as the 7cm exhaust housing, we all know they make plenty of power. I'll be posting some times once the track re-opens here.

I hope that header doesn't crack on you. I don't know anyone running one so who knows how well it performs. We know you like shiny things :D so that thing fits you perfectly. Personally, I would have gotten a SFP manifold (we know it works and doesn't crack).

I'm putting together a simple Garrett t3/t4 setup within the next month. I'll be sure keep everyone posted. Hope you do the same. Just don't turn out like this guy mad powa from another mutt owner

Who says the SFP manifold won't crack? Any of them can crack. My 2g cast manifold was cracked when I took it off. As far as "shiny" things go, I do like my car to look good and go fast, guess that's why it won "Best Mitsubishi" at the 2002 Louisiana Import Drags Show & Go competition. Went 12.62 @ 111.12mph on unleaded fuel with my unported/unclipped 16g on that tubular manifold, NO NOS. Funny how I beat out all those guys who had the tricked out body kits & wings, go figure. Hey, but if it cracks I will fix it, just like I would fix anything else that would go wrong on my car.

Lots of guys out there been running the SFP manifold hard for a few years and nobody has had one crack that I know of. Not saying it's impossible, but haven't heard of one cracking yet.
Just to let you know, SFP's warranty is only 3 years. I "heard" it used to be lifetime. I guess they found a tumor and only give it 3 years to live :D .

Hey 1_vicious_gsx, I was wondering if you could tell me some of the stats on that header? I was curious as to what the tube diamter is and what the guage/thickness of the tubes are? I do have to admit, thats a really nice setup, keep up the good work.

Anyone have a site address for SFP?

Equal length tubes, 1 5/8 diameter, 2mm thick tubing, 1/2 inch thick flanges. stainless steel, keeps everything in the stock location.
