I'm going to be redoing my exhaust to a full 3" and I was weighing my options. I came across some mufflers on Summit that struck my interest. I was wondering what the overall opinion on this type of muffler would be and if anyone uses this? Being a college kid, keep in mine doing this would be alot cheaper and I would assume it would flow better.

Would a 3" DP to this muffler be overly loud?

I would turn it towards the ground. And i might keep my magnaflow muffler in the stock position for a little more of the sleeper look :shhh: So again, opinions from people who have or have heard this type of exhaust. Thanks in advance :thumb:

Cabin noise would be rediculous. I dunno. . . I'd just pick up some piping and bends and hang it yourself.

OR. . . For pretty cheap (500ish shipped) I got a full 3" exhaust (dp and catback) from Dejonpowerhouse.com. It has held up great and sounds REAL mean.

It would turn down before the bumper, so it wouldn't be seen really. I was just weighing my options I havn't really seen this done, maybe for good reason (but wouldn't it be even louder on a v8?). I'm also thinking about putting a Cat on it to muffle the sound a little more.

Any first hand experience?

With this type of setup, it could be made for around $230. Flow really well, lighter weight, cheaper, stainless, sleeper, etc etc. The only thing I'm worried about is being annoyingly loud.

I have an exhaust that consist of a 2.5 downpipe into a short section pipe that connect to:

an apexi 3in down pipe and then goes into the pipe and resonator. This all dumps right infront of the gas tank. The part that sucks the most to me is that I dont have a radio and I have the tip hard mounted where the hanger use to be, so i get a lot of vibration. Cabin noise really isn't all that bad but i guess I'm use to it. Behind the car it has a nice deep sound and just a mean banshee yell when your getting on it. Still covers my bumper in that damn carbon though. And loud: from what i hear it is LOL. On the highway at 70 - 80 I can speak easier then i could with my N1 and I bought this exhaust like this for $150. I will admit at first it was annoyingly loud but now I'm use to it and its kinda nice I can hear everything my car is doing.
