EVO III Exhaust manifold EGT probe location

On the number one runner (cylinder closest to the timing gears)
Around one inch closer to the front of the car of where the heat shield mounting point is. Check the pic. the manifold is kinda rounded, it is not perfectly square. Start very slow and take your time, be sure to tap it at an angle that will allow a good flush connection with the NPT fitting. You don't want to tap it straight down and then when u put your fitting in, it is showing threads on one side and not the other.

where do you guys get the little thing that threads into the manifold. the one autometer supplies is a bung that holds the probe in with a set screw and it leaks like crazy.

damn i just purchased a brand new autometer C2 EGT and i didn't get the fitting.:mad:
 
i gotta compliment you on your ride jdmawd. That has got to be the cleanest looking 1g i've ever seen. Nice paint, rim selection, the hood sets it off too,
