Calgary,
So Im back into the DSM's again...Its like crack...I swear!!! Anyways reason for my post is I just picked up a virgin 91 TSI AWD with 70,XXX Km's. The car has exhaust and a few other toys, no im wondering on my 1,700 limit if I can get this car into the 13's, yet still keep it "fairly" daily driven.

Basicly heres whats done to the car:

Factory Features:
ABS
Factory Security system
Power Windows
Power Locks
Everything else power

Not factory features:
K&N Air filter
Full 2.5" Exhaust with Stainless Steel muffler
Autometer dual Gauge pod
DEFI style Boost Gauge
DEFI style Air/Fuel Gauge
Pioneer Primier DEH-740MP MP3/CD player with OLE graphic display.
8 Speaker sound system
Grant Steering Wheel with quick release security hub.

As you can see the car is pretty stock..Now should I ditch the ABS breaks? Should I do the 4 bolt rear upgrade right away? Also what recomendations you guys think i should go with to get this car where I want it. Ive done a fully built talon, but Im just looking for the simple basic bolt-on mods...

Any sugestions would be awesome:thumb:

Regaurds, Chris

Oh yeah!?!? Im also wondering if I can do my goals with the 14b or if I should go for a Big16G

If you have, why ask this question?

However, as the crazy leafer said :p , intake/exhaust/boost is an easy 13 second pass.

Well easy, I had the talon stock for awhile, then built it up for a year or so. I never really got to drive it as the parts progressed. So as I said, without going all out I have no idea how to build a simplistic street build. Also im in Canada, I think ill ne alittle more then intake/exhaust/boost

Whys that are our canadian Tracks slower?? :D

My car is my every day daily driver and should run 11's on pump gas...Simple bolt-ons should give you a high 13.

Full exhaust, boost controller, a good clutch, and a rewired or at least 190 fuel pump should get you into the 13's.

Must be the exchange rate.

Have you ever been to Calgary....The track is shit....I mean my same car 2 years ago ran 12.9 in calgary yet in edmonton I ran 12.2...Plus the air isnt very good up here.....

full exhaust, mbc, free mods, and decent driving you will be there. just to be safe, add a fuel pump and intake.

you will not need to ditch the 3bolt rear end, ppl have taken the 3bolts into the 11's, im not sure if anyone hit 10's on it. I also wouldnt worrying about ditching the abs unless you are that concerned with weight or just really want to clean up the engine bay.

Re-wired fuel pump, a K&N, 3'' turboback, and a boost controller got me 13.8@99 a few years ago, the car is significantly faster now and is still a reliable daily driver :D

do all your maintanence stuff that costs money, and no one ever does, before you start bolting on parts, and then blaming the car when it breaks. :p

Seriously though, do your belts, fluids, etc, make sure the car is tip top, and then go do your simple mods, and follow the recommended upgrade path here on the site.
