chtown,
I have a 98 eclipse gsx and just got my fmic in place tonight i have a scm61 turbo and am going to go of off it to the drivers side and into the intercooler then out and a real sharp bend and under the car a bit and up between my intake pipe and my tranny to the t.b elbow this sound right?? Also some good pics would be great and make it easier for me thanks!!

That would seem to be fine, just make sure you have the proper clearances between the ground and the pipe, and make sure its not leaning against the tranny as the tranny moves a little bit and it will eventually grind the pipe down and break it. Also, it will heat the pipe, thus heating the air if its too close to something hot. Check the gallery for custom routed piping on your engine.

I'm guessing its a end to end inlet/outlet? I don't think going under the rad support (that was what you were thinking correct?) will work out too well. You just won't have enough ground clearance with the pipe going under there, since your car is already lowered 2"s. If you don't want to hack the rad support you can make U bends on both the inlet and outlet. Thats how my kit is, its made by victory performance, heres a couple pics so you can get an idea of what Im talking about. There's also a motor pic in my profile so you can see how the upper pipe gets routed. In the pic with all the pipes, the L shaped one would connect to the turbo outlet & attach to the 90 thats right beside it, then to the ic inlet. Then the U shaped pipe with the up bend connects to the ic outlet, then obviously to the straight pipe with the bov flange and finally tb elbow.

Ya that is what i was meaning or trying to say ill come out of the out let with a sharp 90 then back owards teh car a bit the cut through the frame or whatever then up on a angle through the tranny and intake pipe and conect to a piece up there!! Also another quick question when i cut soem of my bumper the actual bumper i cut the inner bumper last night that all fits on great but the bottom hits a little i will trim it up tonight. Now that black plastic piece that goes on with the metal trim that runs all along the bottom of ## bumper side to side and ## bumper bolts to it do i ned a put this back on?? Its goin to be hard to get back on i think!

If it is an end/end core with the outlets facing the sides, you probably won't have to cut the rad support at all, just route the pipes around it, depending on the core size that is. As for the trim I'm not to sure what exactly your talking about. Can you describe it better or get a pic?

Edit: After I re-read your post are you talking about the lower air deflector that dirverts air into the rads? If so, its always better to keep as much of that trim as possible to make sure the air goes through the rad after the ic. Now again depending on the size of the core you might be able to use the bottom piece at all. If I recall I had to remove the bottom completely, but will fab something up this spring to replace it. Try and keep as much of the side/top shrouding as you can. Trim it to fit the core instead of removing it.

I will get some pics soon and show u what im talking about! I cant get that bottom piece back on but there is a little metal bracket attached to it that the bottom of teh bumper bolts to and i am putting on a rmdsm lip when ever it gets here loL! So do i not bother bolting it back up?? Thanks alot for teh help!
