Take off my stock exhaust manifold and install a GT ported manifold from Turbochargers.com

I am looking to upgrade sometime and I really don't want to try and do this myself seeing as most of my projects involve me using caveman tools to do a job and beating a nut with a club doesn't really work well...I'm sorta poor on the tools department.

Nope, just a stock, ported one. I've swapped it enough to know the quirks

You can swap it without removing the turbo setup, right? Just by leaving it hanging on the DP and such?

Yes. I did the day I put on my DNP mani. Just ensure that when you do it, the turbo hanging like that doesn't do any damage to your oil return line. It's unlikely, but you should check it regardless.

How do you remove the manifold if you have a stud as one of the 4 turbo to manifold bolts? Is there a way to remove the manifold to head studs without removing anything else?

That would be a serious pain in the ass I'm sure. You'd have to put 2 nuts on the studs, lock em together, and then you could twist it out like a bolt but there's not much room to get your hands under the manifold.

dzol - my mani is only mildly ported but I'm sure it helped a little with spool-up, I also ported the turbine housing at the same time.

Thats why I always replace that stud with a bolt. Makes head removal/turbo installs much easier.
