no fuel pressure????

I just installed a 255 and the import evolutions afpr kit with guauge 6an lines and all. When I turn the key, my gauge is at zero then when I try to kick it over it takes a few seconds and then finally after somtimes hitting the peddle a little it'll kick over and start. Then the fuel gauge shows 36-38psi. After it starts the belts make a horrible noise. This happens a lot for me in cold weather which it is. However I have had problems with my tensioner and I feel like that might be going out again. I'm just providing all of this extra info so you know what I hear and experience when I start my car. Actually it might be a good idea to do a video from my camera and post it on here. Then you could experience it. Anyways, is it something to do with the bigger pump, or the afpr, some type of seal, or is it my coil pack or something to do with my ignition?

I was hoping someone might have experienced this and could point me in the right direction. Thanks for the space and help from those you provide it!

Be careful when putting the pump up into the fuel feed line - the rubber O-ring should be lubed with some grease, oil, or spit (hey, it works) so that the O-ring slips easily into the feed line. If it does not, the O-ring can kink or tear, and the car will be hard to start after sitting a few minutes, as the kinked/torn O-ring will allow the fuel to bleed out of the feed lines. The symptom will be that the car will take several seconds to start after sitting more than a minute or 2, but starts right up if you turn it off and then immediately start it back up.
