I'm about to install a 16g onto my car but I had a couple of questions before I do this. Here, goes:

I already bought brand new 1g coolant lines and a J-pipe. Can I reuse my oil feed line and oil return lines from my 2g? I know I'll have to drill the holes on the oil return line but can I reuse my oil feed line instead of getting a ss oil line which relocates to the filter? It it really necessary to get a ss oil feed line? I'd rather save the $50 and buy a mbc instead.

Also, what gaskets should I replace?

Most people change gaskets every time they have something off, so in this case it would be the turbo to manifold gasket, O2 housing gasket, J-pipe gasket (a given). If you have your manifold off, then the manifold to head gasket.

oil lines you will have to get from a 1g, buy a plug from home depot or ace for the oil filter housing. while you are at it get the banjo bolt for the head, you are going to need it. ta:talon: lon

Thx.

I don't need 1g oil lines. I can just bend my 2g ones, can't I?

:nono: The 2g Oil line in No way will work with a 16g. The T25 Uses a small Flare fitting for the oil inlet, The 16g Requires a 12mm Banjo Bolt. You need to buy Either a factory 1G Oil feed line and 10mm Banjo Bolt to run from Head, and a 12mm Banjo bolt for the Turbo. and like above, Get a Pipe plug for the 2g oil filter housing,

Or this line is Ideal :

Runs from your Filter housing to the turbo, You can reuse your Factory 2G Water Lines and Bolts, Always replace your crush washers to ensure a water tight seal. $4.00 in crush washers will save a lot of headaches down the road. :)

Here is a pic and list of the gaskets you will end up needing:

That's the water lines that you're talking about; they can be bent and reused. You can reuse the oil return line if you drill new holes in it.

look in the Tech article section. there is a writeup on the 2g install using very small $$
