Stock 1g turbo mani. Yeah it's cracked... Also 2 of the studs are broken off in there. = Bad exhaust leak. How can I back the broken studs out? Also can I just weld some beads over the cracks on the mani? Where can I get a new set of studs and mani gasket? :laser:

My manifold was cracked really bad, so I just replaced it with a used 2g manifold that I picked up for $20. Then I ported it myself and it works great. I suggest you do the same, you could weld up all the cracks but it will still continue to crack in other places and it still might crack where you welded it. I would just save yourself the problems and pick up a 2g manifold, it flows more and is less prone to crack. Have you taken the manifold off to see if any part of the studs is sticking out? If so you could probally get them out with some vice grips.

Probably best to replace your smaller 1g with a larger 2g, evoIII or sbr cast mani depending on your budget. You can get new studs and gaskets from most dsm vendors, check out the sponsors link page near the top right. If some of the stud is still there you can also try the double nut method to try & remove them.

I just went to Ace and got some bolts for it. M8 w/ 1.25 pitch w/ flange head. $.70 a piece. Just have to find a 2g mani and gasket.

$20? I doubt that for some reason. When I was shopping for one, the lowest I could find was about $60.

I should have said you can find USED 2g manifolds for around $20. Brand new ones are around $50 and there are plenty to pick from.

Pina Motorsports has evo 3 mani's for 160 bucks. They are located in washington so shipping should be cheap, not to mention the guys there a cool as hell.

I just got lucky, I found one from a local dsm'er. It needed a bit of work but for $20 it was worth it. Expect to pay $60-90 for a used manifold.
