I got two problems..

One is the oil return line doesn't line up (obvious)

I'm heaving clearance issues with the J-Pipe with my intake.

Solutions to the oil line problem are:

Replacing it with a new line (expensive).. I'm not sure what mitsu charges for a new line but I bet its absurd (94 gsx line). And SBR charges $65. Either way thats aton of cash for something so stupid.

The clearance issue i'm not sure what to do.

You can see its directly in the path of the intake hole. My intake is pretty wide and slams right into it. It's a SBR J-Pipe.

What can I do to correct this? I could buy a new intake but thats alot of money and no certainty it will fit either.

I read you can file the holes and slide it over some to clear it but then you risk a leak from the gasket.

What do you think I should do? These are the only two issues stopping me from starting up the car and enjoying the new turbo. Ack!

Full engine shot.. almost done =!

You can make the stock oil drain line work by filing the holes til it fits the turbo (outward filing IIRC). As for the intake, I used the stock rubber one so I had no issues there. Search for a thread that had the same problem and all the guy did was enlarge the holes of the j-pipe flange and then "tweaked" it til it missed his metal intake pipe. Goodluck.

What does outward filing IIRC mean?

I can understand doing this line but not the j-pipe. If you shift the pipe over you are physically moving the gasket withit and its now blocking the hole.

So now you got issues there.

Would SBR do anything about it?

The rubber intake fits fine, but its a pile of crap and I don't want to use it haha. I was thinking about getting the FP 4'' intake but if MINE doesn't fit, which is 2'5 there is NO change a 4'' is going to make the clearance of this j-pipe.

I need it shifted at least 1/2 inch to the right.

IIRC is "If I Recall Correctly." So, get a 1G oil return line or file the holes closer. Did you read the VFAQ? I tells you that these are your two options. You'll need new bolts also because the stock ones won't fit.

Someone already posted about having a problem with the J-pipe hitting their intake pipe. The suggestion was to file the holes to allow the pipe to rotate out of the way. You leave the gasket where it is and just rotate the pipe, so it shouldn't create any problems.
