Transfering awd from a parts car

Hey guys,


I look at this auto auction and every once in awhile an awd comes through that is just completely f*cked. My question is, Can i just bolt on the AWD system from the wrecked one to mine? Or would it be a complicated conversion?

I have asked that question before and my response would be "its complicated." The main reason that I understood is where the rear diff gets mounted as well as the rear suspension sys. It needs welding done. This isnt impossible... but an easier conversion would be buying an AWD and swapping engines.

he has a 2G. there are several people out there who have swapped the AWD drivetrain components from an AWD to FWD (mostly Spyder GS-T's). the provisions are there, but there is still a lot of work involved. you'll need the AWD gas tank as well, and have to modify the rear floorpan to get it to fit.
