The previous owner of my Talon had an EGT gauge hooked up...but he took it out and put in a different manifold b4 selling me the car. Anyways, he said that at at WOT for a couple seconds at 7-8psi, temps would reach 1600*. So he recommended not to turn up the boost.

Other people said that I should be running 13psi fine with my setup...so is there any reason why it can be running so hot right now? Would cleaning the intercooler help at all? Or do I have to live with that fact that my DSM is a freak? Thx

btw...car info: 1990 TSi AWD. Big16G, ported and clipped. K&N w/ hard pipe. I/C Pipes. Full 2.5" Exhuast. Ported 2G Exhuast Manifold. Joe P MBC. ACT 2600. Short Throw Shifter. Prokit Suspension. VDO Boost Guage. Rewired stock fuel pump.

Looks like you don't have enough fuel, or any fuel management.

You're going to want to do something like:

- EGT gauge.
- Hacked or 2G MAF.
- AFC
- Larger fuel pump (go with a 190 so you don't need a regulator)
- Larger injectors

Check the upgrade stages listed on this site and work on filling in the blanks in your current setup. You have too much flow and not enough fuel by the looks of it.

I ordered a Walbro 255hp fuel pump yesterday... Will it run okay without an AFC? Wut is a regulator? Sry, I'm still pretty new with this stuff :p

Thanx for the help :D :thumb:
