There wasnt' a trailer, and it wasn't in a mitsu, but I've done that. I built an old camaro and fell asleep on I-5 going from Phoenix to San Fran. It was a 55 at the time (hadn't raised the limits yet). Got snagged by a plane first, then followed by an interceptor I never saw. Followed by another interceptor I did see after 18 muinutes. He drew is gun and all. After talking about it and the fact that I was easily dodging cars he wrote me a ticket and let me finish getting home. Somehow I get off easy on almost all my tickets. Fine can to $1047. That hurt, along with the six month suspension. The officer said I had been tagged at 167mph but wrote to ticket for 162 specifically so I wouldn't be going more than 3x the speed limit. I found it ironic that the trailer says 167. Thanks for the pic.

I know exactly where that pic came from, it is 100% legit. It came from the top speed for under $50,000 shoot out contest in a 1995 issue of motor trend. It listed the 10 cars for under $50,000 with the highest stock top speeds. The list started at 140 mph for the Honda Prelude VTEC, the car that posted the highest speed of 167mph was the Corvette. I'm sure a turbo dsm could have made the list if it wasn't for the speed limiter. The other cars that won included: Volvo turbo wagon, nissan maxima, nissan 300zx twin turbo, toyota mr2 turbo, Toyota Supra TT, Camaro Z28, mitsubishi 3000gt vr4, and the mazda rx7 TT.
