hey, I just received a Pro-M tube and maf sensor when my friend just gave me a car with a bunch of parts in it but i don't have the control unit for it .. can anybody help me out and tell me what i need to buy to make this work.. does it hook up to a MAF translator or what???... if u can be of any help that would be awsome .. o yea i have a 91 tsi if that makes any diference, thanks :dsm:

You will need to buy a MAF-T translator box. The little one that says "horsepower in a box" on it. You will also have to cut into your UICP to insert the new MAF. Assuming that you already have a FMIC and the MAF is the same size as your piping. Otherwise they are an adventure to try and install.

Also need to either A) hardwire it into your current harness or B) buy a plug and play unit for it.

You are correct. Pro-m is the Ford version of a MAF-T. VERY popular upgrade for Mustang GT's and whatnot. Thanks for correcting me on that. I knew it sounded familiar but they aren't the same. Now that I remember a Pro-m goes on the intake side of the turbo like a normal maf it is just bigger. But I am not 100% on the wiring you need to splice together.
