My engine is supposedly "blown". I need a Trustworthy, Reliable, preferablly inexpensive shop to check out my car. I was told that I need a new engine or to rebuild mine. This is BS to me since I have never had any problems whatsoever and take care of my car religiously. Between two jobs and school full time, I do not have the time right now to check it out or do the work myself. I need to find a shop that can take a look at it that I will believe and can trust. Any help would be tremedously appreciated. Please and thank you in advance. I will reward someone of everything turns out ok, I dont know whatelse to do. Please help!!! -Christian-

Whats going on with the car?? It could be something simple. I know there is a guy named Chai that everyone takes their car too. I will try to get his number for you. I gotta find it. He has a shop and its totally legit. Somebody Chime in with this guys number. :thumb: :talon:

Trustworth, reliable and inexpensive? Not likely to find a shop with all three of these characters. Heres a tip for you..

GOOD FAST CHEAP
Pick any TWO:

Fast and Cheap is not GOOD
Cheap and Good is not FAST
Good and Fast is not CHEAP

Thanks a lot for your replies, this helps me out. Once I get my car back, I will find out what's going on and might take it to RRE or to Chai, or another gentlemen that offered his services. Thanks a lot, Once I know whats going on, I will email accordingly and we will work something out. Thanks again, --Christian--

jim you ####ed it up.

fast, cheap, reliable. pick two.

if its fast and cheap, it aint gonna be reliable(cough 1g cough)
if its cheap and reliable, it ###### aint fast(cough honduh cough)
if its fast and reliable, its not gonna come cheap(cough lambo cough)

sometimes when you dont have the time, the stealership could be your best bet. usually tuner shops dont like doing repairs unless its a customer they personally know, or work on a car they specialize in(like rre). maybe get a quote by a regular repair shop, then go from there. if its major rebuild, call up rre and see what they got going on. though im thinking its something minor.

Thats called a variation. A variation is when something sounds different but is mostly the same and still makes sense.

Google on Good, Fast, Cheap

But.. Thanks for comin out...

Going to the dealer......IDK about that. Mitsubishi told me my engine was fcking roasted and not drivable and gone. So I was like man fck this I'm screwed and took it to rre engineering to have them look at it and they did! Guess what the problem was????? Bad turbo!!!! WTF WTF So Mitsubishi tried to get about 5grand off of me to do a swap for a good engine and do all the work!!!! 5 grand do you know what that meant to me at the time??? I was crushed and come to find out all I had to do was buy a 16g and install kit from rre and be back on the road . Its been about 40k miles later and still no bad engine. THanks :dsm: I appreciate your service and knowledge on your own car and your loyalty to someone who bought a car from you. :notgood:

Called RRE today and they said they specialize in the 6 bolt engine not the 7 bolt 2G, So I am back to square one. I am calling Chai and another gentleman I talked to. I would prefer RRE, because they are the closest. Any other ideas, or input, let me know. My car is stuck in Fullerton, CA and AAA allows only 7 miles. Any help would totally be appreciated. Again, please and thanks! -Christian-
