I'm about to do a tune up on my gs-t, but when I went to advanced auto to get the parts they had so many different plugs and wires to choose from. I know to use NGK plugs, but they had either BPR6EKN plugs for 3.19 a piece, or BPR6EVX plugs for 5.79 a piece. I don't have the slightest what the difference is or which i should buy. As for the wires they have XACT wires (claim to be OE spec) for 31.94, or Autolite wires 96618 for 35.94 or 96857 for 44.99, again i don't have a clue which would be best or what the difference in the 2 autolite models would be. Somebody please enlighten me...

i'm running 15psi on the street and plan on running 17psi at the track. my mods are listed in my profile, i'm still on the stock T25. Which plugs should I use?

Bpr6es...i've used them up to 20 psi on the T-2Small...The BPR7EKN are reportedly a #@%#@%#@%#@%#@% to get ahold of and only come in packs of 10...any of us can use the bpr6es or bpr7es...or for you really serious guys bpr8es

**Candela** ...what is BAP? I got my wires at RRE, didn't know they sold them at a place like your typical auto parts store.

can someone explain to me what colder plugs are and when you would need them.

All spark plugs have what's called a heat range. The heat range determines the plugs ability to either remove heat from the combustion chamber or retain it. The colder the plug is, the more heat it removes from the combustion chamber. Or adversely, the hotter the plug, the more heat it retains.

Plugs need to retain a certain amount of heat to operate properly. If you choose a plug that's too cold, it won't be able to retain enough heat to burn off the carbon deposits, which will foul the plug. If you choose a plug that's too hot, meltdown ensues.

For NGK plugs, the higher the number, the colder the plug. Generally, if you choose the wrong heat range for your motor, it will let you know pretty quick. BPR6ES for mildly moded cars, BPR7ES for most adrenaline junkies, and BPR8ES if you're pushing super high numbers.

suggest you guys all go to spargplugs.com and get the plugs for like a buck and change each. in any amount you want.

What would be a good plug for a 91 awd Talon TSI automatic with a 14b turbo, 450cc injectors and a full 3 inch exhaust.

Which type of NGK plugs that is.

I know you did it some, Larry, but I still wouldn't recommend running 20 PSI on the T-25. I still say he should run the 6's until he does up the boost, like with a bigger turbo and fuel mods.

i was just quoting was someone else said.. hell if I was on a budget and cared about my T25 I wouldnt have pushed it that hard either.. amazingly it was still boostin fine when I traded it in for the Big28 :)
