How hard would this be?

Hey guys I got a deal for a 91talon tsi shell with suspension... I have a 95 gs-t with a 7 bolt... How hard would it be to swap my 7bolt in there? Would me ecu fit as well?

Well Ive beefed up my 7bolt... eagle rods, ross pistons, hks cams, magnus intake manifold.... Would my wiring harness move over? I know for sure I need a new ecu... What about my 2g tb?

Do a search for a six bolt swap and revesre the special changes, for example the different CAS (crank angle sensor), and honestly the 2nd gen handles better and is easier to modify the suspension. I will never give up my 90 TSi, i love the styling and the six bolt, but as always to each his own. If it was me...and the price of the shell was right, I'd part it out and spend the money i made on it to modify my second gen. :talon: :thumb:

The 1G motor mount (front and rear) are on the block, the 2G is on the trans, I don't believe your 7-bolt would have the mounting holes to hold the motor.

beefed up or not you should get rid of those piston cooler oil jets those should be the main concern.

Obviously you know what you are talking about :notgood:

Anything can be done.... You just need to look over the motor mounts as stated above, and check your axel lengths etc. You allready have a built motor, why not give it a try. I would look over a wiring diagram for ecus, and see what you need to change wiring wise for the motor. You could either cut the harness ends and put the 2G plugs on, OR swap the entire harness. Also, I would run dsmlink for tuning just to make things easier.
