Please help, Here is my problem, at least one of them. I have an enjen intake and a 1g bov,. i just put in my APEX-I twin chamber bov. i had the big hole in the injen plugged off because now the dump hose that ran from the 1g bov in no logger their.. The apex-i gives a small hose that routes from the top to the bottom on the bov and is atmosphere dump. With it hooked up like so when im driving and building boost at a steady level like (6-10 psi) the car starts jerking and cutting out like mad. ???? if i cap off one of the nipples on the bov and run a hose from the bov to the little side nipple on my injen it stops. i dont understand. also is this causing any damage to my apex-i bov by capping on nipple and running the hose to my injen. Can some one who usderstands what im talkin about give me some advise? thanx Billy:(

I'm new at this, but I'll give it a shot. So are u saying that the hose that runs from the top chamber to the lower chamber u relocated, or the hose at the very top (next to the adjustment screw) is the one u moved?

The theory behind the twin chamber BOV is that the supplied pressure from the "in" line at the top is equal (or close to) the pressure built up in your IC line. When u shift, more importantly let off the throttle (trottle plate closes) the pressure drops within intake manifold and thus within the "in" line. This difference in pressure between the upper chamber (in intake pressure) and the lower chamber (IC pressure) causes the BOV to fire off and release the pressure from within the IC. The adjustment screw holds the spring tensioner that helps hold the BOV shut during the build up of boost (IC pressure will rise faster than the intake pressure).

Now I think your BOV is the problem but some ?? first. Is this all the time or during moderate build or fast build of boost? Also, is it occuring during build up or at shift points or both? Is it a violent jolt or does it seem like the engine is reluctant to to anything (feels like its bogging down)

I have come accross two possible reasons why this happens:
1) The seal in the BOV is bad
2) The spring with in the BOV is too weak.

One way to find out is to power shift the tranny and see if it continues. If I power shift my tranny mine doesn't do that (little or no burb). Which has lead me to believe it's something to do with the design and not venting to atmosphere. By the way, mine use to never do this and only happens when I reach close to 10-12 psi :( Iknow I'm stubborn for not changing, but I'm in for the long haul and like to tinker.

Sorry so long, and If I am wrong, plz correct ;)

the two on the side shold be hooked together and the one on the end should be hooked up to the manifold hose.and adjust the bov so that it will release as soon as you let off the gas. Ive got mine adjusted all the way flush with the nut that holds the setter in place you should be in good shape
