Jet chip....

I was just wondering if any has their ecu chipped with the Jet chip,.....and wat was the result good,...bad,....nothing,..and also wat, if any, are the risks in getting the chip?

I have no personal experence with this product, but a I beleive the general consensus is that the Jet ECU upgrade is a waste of money.

Though it's not a DSM, a friend of mine installed a JET chip on his S10-Xtreme. He had problems immediately. The chip eventually "fried" literally; he then returned the chip, and obtained a refund.

yea cause i was'nt looking to get one, but i need a ecu for a talon tsi i just bought,... and i saw a jet chipped ecu for 150$ shipped,.. soo..

Have you checked out the TMO eprom upgrades?
-I've heard nothing but good things about these.

1.)People usually buy an ECU with a programable EPROM from Foreign Auto
2.)Then they send it to Technomotive to be reprogramed

nah i was'nt really lookin for a Ecu upgrade, at least not now, but i just wanted to know if the ecu was worth 150$ with the jet chip, thanx anyways Dood.

no, the way jet is, is that you buy their kit for 150, send them your ECU, and they reprogram it to what your setup is. you have to already have the ECU

nah its used, its a private seller that is selling an ecu with the jet chip.

i just basically wanted to know how the chip worked,...cause i heard that it advances timing too,.....and with forced induction as we all know thats a No No...
