intake manifolds for 2g's?

Hi,

I am in the process of completing my setup. You can see the setup in my profile. What's not listed is turbo (scm61 or agp RS60T), exhaust manifold (DNP or SBR ported cast manifold), DSM Link, injectors (850 or 950) and intake manifold (????).

I need to know what's out there for 2g's intake manifolds and if I can have some personal experience from people that used them theirselfs.

What I did was did a 1g intake mani and throttle body swap. The only problem with doing this is that you either need to port the 2g head out to match the 1g intake, or change to a 1g head. The sad thing is the porting might actually take longer than the head swap. But I personally would recommend the swap. I have seen a large improvement in the mid rpm powerband. And you're going to spend less on a 1g intake than you would on an aftermarket 2g.

If money is not an issue, I would recomend a magnus motorsports intake manifold. I run one with a secondary injector set up, and it works and looks beautiful. I did have to wait a while though to get it, same thing for my exhaust manifold.......but the quality is unmatched and well worth the wait. Some of the fastest DSMs and evo's are running their intake manifold.

I would agree...but I can only wish money wasn't an issue.

www.jmfabrications.com makes a good sheet metal that quite a few people run with good results. He is running it on his 7 bolt 1g himself and is in the mid 11s on an fp green. The price isnt as high as the rest but quality is still there.

ps: its built to 1g head specs so you may need to do some porting or do a 1g head swap which is an upgrade in itself.
