Ok does anybody have instructions how to install a safc II on my 90 eclipse gst? Is it the same instructions wether you have a maft or not? Any help would be useful since the instructions that came with the unit are not working. Thanks Hugo.

you need to go back and read the directions that came with the afc better. you have to look through the installation directions and find the ecu pin out for your specific year/make/model of yer dsm. then unplug your 3 ecu wireing harness's ( which will not be fun ) folllow installation instructions, after wireing is done, turn the key in the on position and set the basic settings like karman, 4cyl, throttle up , etc. start the car..... if installed rite, you wont throw any cels and you'll be able to monitor voltage , throttle, maf etc then begin tunning hope this helped

also I hope you have some sort of logging equipment* and you should list your current mods in your profile

Well, according to the instructions on the manual that came with the unit, were I'm suppost to have ground I have power, so I used that as the power wire and I used another wire from the ecu harness for ground but now it will only work when I actually start the car, if I just turn on the ignition the unit will not turn on, only when I start the car. I'm going to try to post some pics of what I talking about, meanwhile are there any shops near me that could install this for me? Thanks.

Another thing, would it make a difference if I used t-taps instead of welding the wires? If I can't figure this out I'll just take it to a shop to install the darn thing. It's funny I could tear down an engine and rebuild it no problem but when it comes to wiring I'm a nervous wreck!

I used something similar to t-taps and I didn't get a good connection. Welding it is such a pain in anyones ass from under the steering wheel. But it's worth the pain and effort when it works.
