Toronto,
I am in my garage taking out my old T25 with O2 housing and prepping everything for FP Big T28 and SRB Tubular 2.5" O2 Housing to go in. When I took out my upper heatshield I noticed that there are only 3 bots holing my T25?

Here is the pic

Is that something normal or am I missing something?
I am almost positively sure its 4 bolts holding it as my T28 has 4 bolt holes on compressor side. Also are there any guides showing how to take out old T25 and put in another T25 or bolt on T28 (since no mods are required to do so for T28). Because I am worried and have no idea how to take out oil lines and such... and should I drain my oil and coolant when I do it?

Thx guys

You are missing a stud for the turbo. On where to get info try VFAQ.

It's definitely not normal to have only 3 bolts holding the turbo, it could be the previous owner took it out and stripped it. I'll get a set of brand new turbo bolts from Slowboy or other vendors when you do the swap and double check the holes on the ex. manifold are not stripped. As for the install check out vfaq.com and do some search here. Its great that you're about to upgrade the turbo I'm sure that's exhaust leak on your car now with only 3 turbo bolts there.

Ahh well at least I am replacing everything to new! SBR have those bolts? Damn hope they didn’t ship out my O2 housing so i can give em a call and they can through those bolts to same package in for me! I also ordered brand new Gaskets from them (connecting manifold and Turbo, Turbo and O2 Housing and O2 housing to new DP)

I'll check vfaq too! thx a lot guys

Yes Slowboy has them for $22 a set of 4. Kinda expensive, see if you can find just an used bolt somewhere from friends.

Ya too bad friends and PPL here don’t have Eclipses :)

Also when you take out the turbo, the water lines and oil lines? Will they leak at all? If they do should I replace my coolant and oil or something? And do you recommend keeping them stock or getting better lines?

A little bit of oil will leak out, but you don't have to drain it. You don't have to drain the coolant either, but I always do because I take out my radiator before taking out the turbo for more room.

Make sure you get new crush washers too! You will need them for the waterlines or they will leak all to hell.

Just a note, the turbo has been off before. A previous owner replaced the would-be-stud (front left) with a bolt.

Hayy whatever keeps the air colder and ride lookin pimper :p

i too have that upper ic pipe, itll take some wrasslin with but itll get r done

thats the same fmic i have. so what are you doing for the fmic piping? that IC piping kit is only good for using the side mount. you will have to fab up your own piping for the turbo to fmic, then from the fmic to the used to be sidemount location(to mate up with the upper ic piping).
