I did a search and coulden't find much info on this, Im about to purchase a internally gated green and im just wondering how well they work? Im not really concerned about running low boost, because I never will. Im more concerned about running high boost with one. Like at the track, on the street im probably going to run 18 to 23psi just depends upon how much knock im getting and what my timing advance is. But at the track with race gas I want to run 25 to 30psi can this be done with an internal wastegate? Im not going to bore you guys with all my mods because it would take up 2 paragraphs, lets just say I know what im doing and I have all the modifications to back this baby up. :dsm: Thanks

I personally dont know anyone who has an internally gated Green.. Your best bet is to contact FP directly and ask them but Im sure there gonna tell you they suggest the external gate with the turbo becuase thats what their website says :)

My Friend JW here on this board has one ..... PM him I'm sure he would give you some insight.:)

Robert told me once upon a time that the lowest that their internal gate runs is in the 18-20 psi range. Which it seems like you are shooting for, just make sure you have at least 650cc ball disc injectors or 720cc pintle style. You will need them.

I have a internally gated green. Like IPT said, plan to run high boost on this setup. I run around 18-20psi on the street so I dont see much problem. I have run 17psi on this turbo and it still hold fine without creep. I guess it has alot to do with my exhaust and boost controller setup. Talk to Robert and he will give you more details. Not too many people run the internally gated green because FP dont recommend it. It may work well for me but may not for you.

I have a 02 external dump so I think that might help out with boost creep. I dont care about running low boost I never will, is long as I can run 25 to 30psi on the track ill be happy if not ill switch to an External if I have to, im getting a killer deal on the turbo anyways. As far as fuel system goes im running a 06AN hose from the tank to the rail with high flow K&N filter 660cc and a AFC that should work just fine once I get the fuel trims dialed in.

If anyone wants to see my mod list go to
www.geocities.com/intaginize/Silverbullet.html My modification list is old and not up to date, but it has most everything listed. I have Ross 8.3:1 forged pistons, not Wiseco's but everything else is right.

I took a look at you're web page, it said that you were undecided on the turbo selection. I would strongly suggest looking at the agp l2r. it should have a bit more flow potential and quicker spool characteristics. Than the green, and the price is very similar if not less. just a idea.

That is what I WAS going to get, but I found a killer deal on a internally gated GREEN and I couldent pass it up. I ordered it already, unless FP will let me trade it in for a FP30 and some cash then im going to stick with that. If I had to pay full price for it I never would of bought it.

Dont worry, you wont be disappointed with a Green. If I were to pick another street turbo now again, it will still be a Green. L2R & L3r are new turbos and I am not too impress with their times yet. I will let others run them first, because I dont be a guinea pig. It cost too much to test a turbo for a vendor.

Agreed...But yet everybody thinks they're the greatest turbo in the world...for some reason...

The Green is a great turbo. You won't be disappointed. In regards to the L2R & L3R i'm looking forward to see them hit the times list. From the sounds of them they will give FP some more competition which equals better buys and turbos for us consumers :D Gotta love competition.
