Upper radiator hose, looking for replacement help

My upper rad hose was ready to burst last night, so it's time for a new one. I've seen the mesh looking braided ones, but I'm not sure of the name of them. Are they any good? I hear a steal pipe replacement is a terrible idea because it will leak. I want something that will just as well or better than OEM, and look better. Any suggestions?
