Where can i get some 3inch cable activated cut outs. I checked summit, Mr. Muffler makes some 2 inch ones. If there is such a thing as 3inch ones anyone run em? I know people run dumps and prolly even electric ones (waste of cash), but i am looking for someone with the cable ones.

Lol...i know for your exhaust. I mean why are you looking to install them? Are you getting shit from the cops for it being to loud..or are you trying to switch from full exhaust to just dp using them?

eh, way to expensive for my taste, i am looking to spend AT THE MOST $60 on cut outs. I think i might have to make one myself.

I've been working on an idea for a DIY cutout. Noise is an issue to me, I don't figure you need a huge ass 3" exhaust unless your at WOT. Performance is also an issue to me..but only when I'm racing around.

The one I've been drawing up is activated by a WOT switch and a certain boost level via a pressure switch and/or rpm switch(modified shift light). I'm thinking that you might be able reap benefit from exhaust scavanging at low end(smaller stockish exhaust) with the less restrictive cut out flow at high end(again but only when at WOT..when else does peak performance really matter unless your hammering it?)

You might have to tune to find out if what PSI you want the cut out to open at WOT..maybe its only 1 or 5...

I've been thinking you could use a waste gate actuator to move the cutout ..like the ones you've probably seen. The biggest issue is getting the cutout made. I'm not certain if/how to do this reliable like in a DIY fashion. I'm not sure if it needs to be 3" or if 2.5 is sufficiant due to the short route of it.

If someone does this before I get to it a write up would be cool! If I do it I promise I'll do one. There are some "Bugs" to shake out..mostly in the fabrication of the mechanical part of the cut out unless you can find a cheap thing that'll do the job and mount the required actuator to it..be it electrical or pneumatic.

Made my own for under 10 dollars. I'll use the hole in the floor for the rear o2 sensor to run the cable, put a lever just under my seat.

Show me that shit bean

You can buy a solenoid and make it electronicaly open and close. Mine is just 3 wing nuts and whenever I want to open it I just reach under the car and unbolt them. Cost me a total of $40 with flanges and gaskets.

i have an agp cutout and love it, quiet at idle and loud like mad at boost. but i can control it anytime beacuse its foot(boost) activated!

I also like the fact that it is right foot activated. No switches or levers for cops or other racers to ask about. I think its an awesome sleeper mod, and those, IMO, are worth paying the extra bucks for. Im all being a sleeper though.

Yeah i will prolly make it myself i talked to bean (stapl3) and he made one himself. Didn't seem too bad. He said he made it for under $10.
