I am getting a new turbo. I was running an evo 16g and going 12.1s all day. Making about 325 on pump. Now it has come time to upgrade. First I have an offer for a to4e 57 trim my friend was using. I also saw the pte 50 trim. What I was looking at today is a to4e 60-1 from agp. This turbo is very big but I want my next turbo to be something I will use for a while. I am gonna be running 650s for a while till I can get something to run bigger injectors. Rite now my goal is 400 or more on pump. I know I wont get full potential out of the 60-1 without more but my question is with what I have now can I run 20 psi daily and 25 on race gas. Please help and if you have one too let me know LOL I mite be looking to buy one. Thanks.

With the 60-1 u could run it, but as u said u won't be using the full potential. i checked ur mod list. What do u use for fuel tuning. I would definately suggest larger injectors. 750's 780's or 850's, something to tune w/ and a 3" downpipe. 25 psi would be pushing it on those 650's u'll be close to maxing those out, but just get a data logger and see for urself. I personnally would throw some cams in like fp2's or 272's to get a little more power outta that big turbo. :thumb:

Rite now I am tunning with just an afc, I wanna go blow throu or vpc im not sure yet. But you think this turbo is a good choice or go with a 50 trim?

i think alot of people that have the 60-1s are very happy with them. the 60-1 is going to take a few hundred rpms longer to spool than a 50 trim but it youll make more power

Hell yeah itz a good choice..... :shhh: keep this quite....i have a 60-1 and absolutly adore this turbo......if u have the modz to run some high boost, u will wanna compressor screw this turbo....itz that much fun. :sneaky: Sorry bout that...got a little carried away. Neways yeah the afc would be fine to tune w/. I like my setup right now...afcII, keydriver chip, and gm mas. I highly recomend a 60-1.

also if youre going to be running the stock ex mani. agp has their bolt on 50 trim and 60-1 on sell for 699.

20G/50 trim/60-1 are all great choices, having said that and owned all of them my 60-1 is the SHIT! :thumb:

I also vote for the 60-1. My buddy has a 60-1 on his 2g FWD and still hits low 12's in 1/4. He has so much top end its crazy. Its a vicious ride from a roll. He has a Venom intake manifold, ported exhaust manifold, rebuild bottom end and all the usual stuff. The 60-1 has plenty of headroom...it can push 32lbs efficiently on a 2L. He makes around 350 whp on 93 octance at around 18- 19 lbs. Its def a turbo you can work with for awhile. RRE made over 500 whp on a built 2L with cams and a 60-1. Food for thought. :dsm:

I just upgraded to agp 60-1 from my PTE 50 trim.. All i can is WOW. At 20psi it pulls like the 50trim did at 25psi. The top end is crazy. I cant wait to turn up the boost a bit more. IM running 660 injectors, 43basepressure and i barely knock. I do need a bigger exhaust. 2.5 isnt cutting it. Get a 60-1 and enjoy it.

a 57 trim is a nice turbo :thumb:

for all you stereo typed people who do what everyone else does, and says "well the compressor map says"...that compressor map can go up something.tuning tuning tuning, why put a big turbo on a car if your not gonna tune it???

the 60-1 looks like shit on the compressor map but its proven and link you sent good numbers but is to say that he could have gone 10.5 on a 60-1. your post made no sense in this one. i run a FPRED 60-1, its a great turbo , the 57 trim is a great turbo also
60-1 allday long

You know I have the AGP 60-1. I have 650's also. Nate from SBR who runs a 60-1 said the 650's are good for 400HP on pump at 20-22 PSI. Also said 25-26PSI on race would give 450+ awhp. Problem with that is my motor would grenade!! I took the car out for a couple short runs, like4 miles as it is notstreet legal yet, snow country here. 17 psi, no knock, no tuning yet! By the time I max the 650's I will need my 6 bolt built. I have heard that the 60-1 is capable of over 30PSI. I am just waiting for a muffler so I may be on the road later this week or next with more info to add! Good deal, Mark

I just got my denso 660s and afpr and now I need to get the turbo. My profile has the supporting mods. I want to go bigger and upgrade more in the future so I am thinkin of going with the 60-1 to have room to grow but is it too much? Has anyone run it with the 660s and dynod it. I know I wont get full potential but anymore thought would be great.

I am currently running a 57 trim t04e, and it has been working quite well... my mechanic said that a 50 trim would be better becuase it will spool up earlier and still pull well past 7000 rpm.... what do you guys that are running the 50 trim think??? please let me know how it pulls and when you get boost by.A couple of people on this site have suggested the 60-1!What do you guys think the best turbo choice would be? ps. i have a 2.3 stroker with a lot of supporting mods, thanks

Im just running a stock rebuilt 6 bolt what would be best for this engine?

Well, if it helps, I should have my turbo back from PTE later this week, and will try to have it installed by the end of the weekend. I run Denso 660s @ 43 psi base pressure. I will do a log and let you know what duty cycle I hit at 22 psi. I upgraded my turbo from a GT3255 to the GT 57 trim wheel. T04e compressor cover. Mitsu bolt on housing with internal gate and HD accuator.

ok guys I got my 700 now and I wanna get that 60-1 but just want a to see anyone whos running it with 660s to let me know how its workin out. Thanks guys

I have it with 650's. Spools like mad. I tried a 3rd gear pull starting at 2500 RPM's and it started spooling immediatly and hit 20 PSI before 4000 rpm. You can check my mods. I have to lean it 10% at WOT and 20 PSI with a MAFT. Compressor surge in higher gears on hills does sometimes occur so I downshift and keep revs at 3500 and up. I am talking VERY steep central NY hills. Feelfree to PM me with specific questions.Mark

60-1 is a good choice, and probably the last turbo you'll ever need...however i would invest in the to4-s cover rather than the to4-e cover...sometimes the to4-e's have surge problems. I dont know how my gt35r 1.06a/r compares to a 60-1, but it sure is a fun turbo, and I doubt I'll ever replace it :thumb:

Yea the 60-1 seems great, my biggest problem is that I have 700 and I can get the rs49t or the rs60t. I want more than the 50 trim has to offer but I dont wanna get the 60-1 and blow my engine. I wont have a built engine till next winter. My last turbo was an evo 16g and that put my car at consistant 12.1s. Until I have the built engine I just wanna run 11s which I know I could do on either turbo but I want the top end I just dont wanna blow my engine. Any input would be great.

About what Rpm should I expect full boost at? I am going with the Scm6031E by pte from Slow Boy. Nate at SBR is givin it to me for $812 shipped so Im gonna get that.

I would go with the agp Rs60t. I got mine for 719 shipped. I love the warrenty and best of all they have great customer service.
